Oh, to Swap Some Seeds

There’s something hypnotic and optimistic about a handful of seeds. On the one hand, it looks like a collection of jewels, perfectly shaped, sometimes brightly colored. But it also hints at the incredible bounty of edibles that will be yours if you plant these seeds and tend them and help them to grow. Apartment-dwellers with no garden space don’t get to grow a lot of food from seeds. But if I could, I’d be all over the seed swap — a brand new techie version of which goes online today, courtesy of the Center for Food Safety. I write about it in my latest for Civil EatsFind it here.170426-seed-sharing.jpg
