It’s been a busy week at my computer! A couple of days ago, I wrote up this fun piece for Mental Floss on math concepts that have been explained with knitting and crochet—which gave me an excuse to check in with all kinds of crafting math smarties of my acquaintance: Daina Taimina, Alasdair Post-Quinn, the Woolly Thoughts folks, and Cat Bordhi. I also made a new knitting friend, Sarah Kuhn of UMass Lowell, who tipped me off to Richard Feynman’s quotes about knitting.
