On Thursday, I was invited to read The Honeybee Man on behalf of the non-profit organization FirstBook, to a whole lovely crowd of elementary school readers & their parents at PS 705. Sadly, we ran out of books, so some kids didn’t get copies of their own. Happily, I did sign about 100 of them, for some of the smartest, chattiest, most curious young readers in Brooklyn! I think these photos sum up why it ROCKS to write books for kids, and to have the chance to meet some of them along the way.
