I’ve never lived in a house that wasn’t completely cluttered with books—and it’s why I write, and read, and argue tedious philosophical points today. But there are children in our own time and our own country for whom possessing even a single book is a luxury; this is a circumstance I find utterly incredible and incredibly sad. And it’s why I’m so proud and pleased to announce that The Honeybee Man will be published in a special paperback edition by First Book, an organization dedicated to providing books to schools and organizations that serve  children in underprivileged communities. This holiday season, it’s my wish that every child be given the chance to read and fall in love with a book that will open up new worlds and ideas and possibilities for her—and that she can call her very own. xxx
