This was the thoroughly unexpected sight that greeted me as I entered the gates of the UN school today, to read THE HONEYBEE MAN  in celebration of Earth Day. Thanks to the entire second grade for their terrific questions, comments, hugs, and handshakes; to the amazing junior school librarians, who put this wonderful program together; and my old friend the beekeeper, John Howe, who dazzled the science room with his hive and his know-how. What a great morning! xxx
